To the entire Guru community:

It's with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this site, Guild Wars Guru, will be shutting down on July 1st and will remain in Archive Mode. Over the past 11 years, we've become, and continued to remain, the #1 fansite for Guild Wars, and it's all because to you guys. Without such a strong and passionate community, Guru would have never made it this far and so we thank you for that.

And while we will be saying good-bye to our home here, we will continue to host forums for the GW community over at our sister site, Guild Wars 2 Guru. In fact, you are more than welcome to head on over now and begin posting. If you have any threads you'd like to transfer over, now would be the time.

So once again thank you, and especially those that contributed their time and knowledge to make Guru the amazing place it was. We'll see you over at Guild Wars 2 Guru!

Demonique Pre-Searing Cadet Join Date: Jan 2007 Guild: Guild Drama [Sigh] Profession: E/Mo	In-Game Guild Ladder I think a good way to make Guilds more involved in GvGs is to move the ladder view that is curently on the website into the game. The website is not reflecting realtime status - and by getting an in-game list of the top 1000 guilds you can show more information. enable the leaders to compose a small block of text in their guild menu to publish on the guild list so people can read about the guilds that they see on the ladder. also you may choose to post an IGN name to contact for people who want to join and so on. you can at later stage add a history tag next to each guild on the list showing their acheivements in tournements and the place they finished in previous seasons. I think all the above will contribute to building treadition and will make guilds who succeed more famous, and would allow them to present themselves better. you may be able to build a list of alliances as well. with their accumilated factions.
